Dinoer Titanium Anodes in Electrolytic Copper Foil Production
-From "Micron-Grade" to "Nano-Grade" High-Purity Copper
Market Context
Electrolytic copper foil is the critical current-collector for Li-ion battery anodes and high-end PCBs. Surface roughness, thickness uniformity and tensile strength directly determine energy density and high-frequency performance. Conventional lead-based anodes can no longer meet the stringent current-density uniformity required for foils ≤6 µm. Dimensionally Stable Anode (DSA) titanium anodes-featuring high electrocatalytic activity, dimensional stability and long life-have become the preferred upgrade path.
Dinoer's Core Innovations

• Coating System: An Ir–Ta–Mn ternary mixed-oxide layer, fabricated by atomic-layer deposition (ALD) to <200 nm thickness on the Ti substrate, lowers the oxygen-evolution over-potential to 180 mV (50 °C, 10 kA m⁻²).
• Micro-structure: Laser ablation plus plasma-assisted sintering creates 3-D honeycomb pores (5–15 µm), reducing electrolyte mass-transfer resistance by 28 % and suppressing copper nodule formation.
• Lifetime: Accelerated lifetime testing at 55 °C, 1.5 A cm⁻², Cl⁻ ≤20 ppm exceeds 8 000 h with a coating mass-loss <0.5 mg cm⁻², outperforming the industry benchmark of 5 000 h.
Commercial Gains
– Copper-foil Ra drops from 0.8 µm to 0.3 µm, increasing yield by 6–8 %.
– Rectifier efficiency improves 5 %, cutting DC power consumption by 120 kWh per ton of foil.
– Anode replacement cycle extends from 12 to 24 months, reducing OPEX by 35 %.
